I would curate my social media with a critical public audience through the following two ways. First, I would guarantee the quality of content from my social media. The posts and comments made should thoughtfully consider diversity and inclusion since the public audience are from all kinds of cultural backgrounds. The choices of words need to be careful and unbiased. Meanwhile, the content needs to be respectful and authentic so that what is shared can receive the audience’s trust and resonance. Second, making consistent interactions with the audience is beneficial as it not only contributes to the influence of the individual’s social media but also promotes the communication and engagement between users. Additionally, it is important to pay attention to the audience’s feedback because it can inform the user the strengths and shortcomings of the social media and allow them to better update what will be created in the future.

In terms of the risks, I believe the first and the most important one is possible misrepresentation of statements of a public figure. If their statements are improperly misrepresented, a public figure’s reputation and career might be negatively impacted. Furthermore, privacy leakage is also another potential risk a public figure might encounter. On the other hand, there are benefits of engaging with a public audience in a media space. Reputation can still be gained and help the public figure in a positive way. They can have a crucial impact on the public’s beliefs and awareness. In addition, interaction with a public audience allows a public figure to have more opportunities to connect and collaborate with outstanding individuals, which can positively influence their professional work and career.
